A Saturday to remember

We made a spontaneous trip to Uncle Bob and Auntie Barb's yesterday. Uncle Tom and Aunt Linda were in town which made the visit extra special.

Baby's first Thanksgiving

The day started off with a visit to Mom. Notice the smile on Iggy's face, wondering what he's looking at.

It's no secret that this is an incredibly hard holiday for our family. However, this year with this little man our day was a little brighter. He's such a special gift from God and I am truly thankful for him. 

Daddy Daycare

Michael had Ignatius the day before Thanksgiving while I was working. Boy oh boy did they have a special day together. 

First they played dress up, the theme was it's been an 80 hour work week and you really need a beer.

Then it was off to the park. Iggy took his first ride in the swing. Needless to say he loved every second. 

Finally the day completed with a jam session. Not sure if that's the best place for the bumbo, but oh well, he's learning.

From the beginning Ignatius has loved to sing along when Michael plays the guitar. I'm happy I was able to capture it.

Since he's graduated to sitting up in the tub, bath time has become more enjoyable.

I threw these rings around him in a circle, turned around to fold some clothes, and looked back to find that he put them all in a perfect row. I was amazed, but aren't most mothers constantly amazed by their children's actions?

Iggy's first trip to Galena

Over Veteran's Day weekend we made a trip up to my parent's log cabin in Galena. We went with our friends Chris and Leah and their son Beckett. Perfect time of year to go. 

Iggy was very well behaved during the car ride up there.
