Mark in the baby book!

Tonight Ignatius took his first steps. They were only a couple and he moved only sideways, but he did it. My screams caused him to fall to the ground and cry. Maybe we'll catch the next ones on video.

A visit from Babe

Ignatius was head over heels in love with the blonde beauty. Thankfully Babe was very accepting of little man climbing all over her. I think both Iggy and Chauncey were sad to see her go.

Peek-a-boo

Michael and I have come to the conclusion he thinks his ears are his eyes. At least he gets the concept when you hold the blanket over his face. I guess he's eventually catch up with his hands.

Getting more and more daring

A couple weeks ago I was vacuuming upstairs while Ignatius was downstairs. All of a sudden the little man comes crawling around the corner. Last I knew, he couldn't get passed the first step, now all he wants to do is climb. He has become especially fond of things Mommy really doesn't want him doing, such as climbing up on the fireplace and grabbing the fire poker, ripping off pieces from this basket and chewing on them. I think I have my hands full with this one.

Mmmm english muffins

Overwhelmed with his love of sippy cups

Blue eyes

I couldn't resist photographing the proof that these eyes are still blue. Truly amazing when you consider the odds from a brown-eyed mother and green-eyed father.

Dinnertime = Playtime

We've been on a bib protest, I think Mommy is winning this one though, thanks to snaps.

Forget spending money on teethers

Why bother when you have toilet paper holders?

This boy is truly a boy

Always wanting to take the more adventurous (i.e. dangerous) route.

Iggy loves his Aunt Carol

Celebrating MXC

Last month we celebrated Grampie's retirement. 43 years at Central Steel! Bravo!
Notice the crinkled paper. Mommy made the mistake of showing Ignatius how paper ripped. Well guess what little mister wants to do with every piece of paper and every magazine?

Month Nine

Weighing in at 19lbs 11 oz and 29.5 inches. I was surprised by the weight, the pediatrician thought it was due to the illnesses. I wasn't surprised by the height, I had commented that I felt like he had stopped growing for a moment. This month I feel like he sprouted again, we'll see on Wednesday!
Teething baby

Doll face

He's gotten into the habit of biting Michael, just Michael, so I'm ok with it.

Showing his pops a thing or two.

Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder got nothing on this kid

Getting used to shoes

"Ok mom, I'm done now."

He loves the house work

Daddy lets him help out with vacuuming. He seems pretty pleased with himself, don't you think?

Protesting sleep

Coy boy

He's still loving the baths

Eagerly anticipating getting in there

What joy!

Such a proper smile.

I wonder if he needs longer naps?

This was about an hour from waking up in the morning.

He looks anything but well rested.

I didn't know we got another puppy

Just when we trained one boy to stop unraveling the toilet paper rolls, another starts up.

RSV=1, IFC=0

Back in January Ignatius got a bad cold. It quickly became worse and he started to struggling with his breathing. The breathing treatments started out as a nightmare and quickly got easier (notice the smile behind the mask). With the cold came an ear infection, one week later a double ear infection came. It was a brutal few weeks, but we fought through it. My niece Reese wasn't so lucky she was hospitalized for one week with RSV and required oxygen. Poor little lamb.

He's got his father's music bug

The photo he will hate me forever for

Oh how I love that tush

Cool dude

Weary of the camera, or is it the pending pediatrician appointment?

A site I will never get tired of

There's just something about this tiny feet crossed...

And seeing them bare takes my breath away.

The boat show

We took a trip downtown to catch the boat show. Pop-pop tosses around the idea every now and then about getting a boat for Maui. I think Ignatius is on board now.
Quite the captain

"So we're going to do this, right?"

How could I not capture this moment

I could die with his sweetness. I find myself wanting to climb right in there with him.

The kid who doesn't care for toys

His pure enjoyment lays in things like empty water containers, which a grin.

First off.....

Let me apologize for the delay. I'm ashamed it has been so long since my last posting. We've had some busy months (yikes, can't believe it's almost been two months), lots of sickness and busy lifestyles. I vow to never have such a delay again. Enjoy the postings!
